Kumbakonam is known as the "City of Temples." Its historical name is Kudanthai. While the city is mentioned in the Shiva Rahasya (Secrets of Shiva), it is a child born in this very Kudanthai who is today revealing several universal secrets to the spiritual world.
Mr. Siva Gunaseelan and Mrs. Rajeswari first had four daughters. Longing for a son as their fifth child, the devout couple prayed with deep faith to Lord Swaminatha at Swamimalai, the fourth of the six sacred abodes (Arupadai Veedu) of Lord Muruga. Do you know the nature of their vow? It wasn't just a prayer; it was a penance. The mother climbed the sixty steps of the beautiful Swamimalai on her knees.
The Birth of a Master:
The Lord of Swamimalai decided to grant that boon on a significant day: the Ayilyam star puja day in the month of Margazhi, dedicated to Sage Agastya, the foremost among Tamil Siddhas. On December 22, 1994, during the auspicious Brahma Muhurta at dawn, this child was sent by Lord Brahma. Born on Chaturthi tithi under the Ayilyam star, he was destined to calculate and master the square grids of horoscopes. Today, he stands before us as a Gnana Guru (Wisdom Teacher).
Our Guru, Guruji Dr. Ku. Sathyaseelan, is under thirty years of age but possesses the ancient wisdom of Agathiyam (the teachings of Agastya). Born into a family that has practiced Siddha medicine, astrology, and temple Agama rituals for generations, he is an exceptional soul.
A Divine Sign:
When he was a six-month-old infant, his father took him to Swamimalai to thank the Lord. When the baby was placed at the feet of Lord Swaminatha, a miraculous event occurred: a flower fell from the deity onto the child, signaling a divine blessing—a herald for the great life to come.
Though he passed his school years like any other student, he was deeply drawn to the spiritual texts of his grandfather and father. At nineteen, he began his research into astrology. Gradually, he started translating complex Sanskrit Vedic mantras into simple Tamil so the common people could understand and learn them. Operating as a Swayambu (self-made), he researched these secrets independently without a formal human tutor, deriving insights from his family’s ancestral notes.

While other family members became medical doctors, Guruji pursued research in his chosen field and earned a Doctorate (Ph.D.). While others heal the body, he acts as the medicine for the mind. Lord Muruga, the God of Astrology, is his primary deity (Ishta Devata).
